" Science is the pursuit of truth in its purest form following a method and I have been fortunate to find that method in Dr. A.C. Panda's lab, It's been a pleasure working here in this lab which gave me the direction and guidance needed for my future scientific endeavor & also gave me the motivation for thinking a career in science "
Arundhati Das
(July 2018 – February 2024)
My doctoral journey in Panda RNA Lab has been truly transformative.
My focus was discovering novel circRNAs that influence muscle differentiation, a challenging project that deepened
my understanding of skeletal muscle biology and allowed me to publish eight manuscripts
and present my work at national conferences.
The mentorship from Dr. Panda was invaluable—his encouragement of independent thinking
and constructive feedback shaped my scientific approach. The lab’s collaborative culture
fostered a vibrant environment for innovation.
For any aspiring researchers, I wholeheartedly recommend Panda
RNA Lab as the ideal place to pursue dynamic and inspiring research!

To investigate post-transcriptional gene regulation in muscle regeneration, we employ various approaches including high-throughput screening, computational tools, proteomics, molecular, and cell biology methodologies. We have been developing new technologies to isolate, identify and understand the role of post-transcriptional regulators in muscle regeneration. These studies may potentially provide new opportunities for development of therapies for muscle diseases.
